Earthday Promise

one day given for the planet
everyday taken from her
all things come from her
one day to remember that
trees, flowers, birds and bees
all a person sees, all we use
taken and abused
for the love of money
for our freedom, our fears
lions, wolves and bears
she is changing, we are changing her
when the cycles stop
when the oceans and forest are empty
the land overflowing with people at war
it could have been prevented
we could have made a promise
when we where warned















 






 

 Explanation

The effects of human are so easy to see and we all know what it is doing, but we keep following the path, right over the cliff.
We will all fall, and we could have stopped.
